BEET IT!!

Beets a_DSC0715re a good fuel source of carbohydrates that don’t leave you lagging like processed foods. They satisfy hunger, aid in weight loss and boost your energy levels. Beets are high in folate, fiber, iron, manganese, potassium and vitamin C, PLUS naturally fat-free, low in calories, inexpensive and available year-round.

Beets can be sautéed on low heat, grated raw, boiled, roasted or steamed. Added to soups, salads or entrees – you will not regret adding this often overlooked Super Food to your daily food intake.

I like to eat them raw, try this recipe, its super delicious!
